{austin photography} so happy together

Happy Monday, lovelies! Starting a new week here with this fun couple and their Austin engagement portrait session.

I recently met with this talented designer and bride-to-be, Suzanne, and we hit off so well {at least in my book} that she booked me right on the spot for her upcoming fall wedding. {For the record: these types of brides are always my favorites.} It will be my first time covering a wedding at Springdale Farm in East Austin and after hearing this savvy bride and groom’s creative ideas and plans, I’m really looking forward to being a part of their big day.  I captured this smile-inducing fest straight from our very own shores of Town Lake. The lake, a dog, and a happy couple at sunrise – all out magic makers for fabulous Austin photographs.

{Austin Photography} What Is A Boy?

Between the innocence of babyhood and the dignity of manhood we find a delightful creature called a boy. Boys come in assorted sizes, weights, and colors, but all boys have the same creed: to enjoy every second of every minute of every hour of every day and to protest with noise (their only weapon) when their last minute is finished and the adult males pack them off to bed at night. ~Alan Beck

This adorable guy and his equivalently handsome parents met me recently for  two-year and updated family portraits. You might recognize them from the one image I posted on my blog {yes, call me the laziest of them all} from their family session last fall.

Now excuse me while I have too much fun cooking this batch of photos, and allow me to share just a couple of my favorites. For now.

Hope you all are having a fabulous week!

{austin family portraits} boy, oh boy!

My schedule has been wedding-heavy of late, so it was a fun change of pace going from blushing brides to glowing moms last week.

I enjoyed capturing these cheery family and maternity portraits of the Kutners before their second bundle of cuteness arrives this July. Jessie’s belly was definitely the focus of our session but I couldn’t help stealing a handful of photos of A with Daddy and also a few of the beaming couple alone. You can see happiness written all over their faces and I’m excited to see how the fun will multiply once baby E arrives.

They are SO ready to meet him and SO am I!!

{Austin Weddings} Kifany + Matt

Many of you lovelies have patiently awaited the full blog from Kifany and Matt’s Austin wedding! Let’s begin by saying Kif’s pre-wedding calmness was plentiful, more than humanly possible of any bride. She floored her guests {and photographers} with her beautiful gown and sparkly pair of gold Kate Spade heels. Also dressed to impress were the bridesmaids who wore statement pieces by one of my favorites, Kendra Scott, and kept the peacock theme with bold heels. The wedding was held at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and the reception and party started immediately after at the W Hotel Banquet Hall. Sweet stylings were provided by the uber talented STEMS floral. Love, love, loved the girls’ bouquets. One of the highlights of the night was Matt’s brief disappearance and his re-emergance, masquerading in a Superman costume. Need I say more about this fun groom/couple? Here are several of my favorite images of their big day and there are plenty more waiting to be adored in their online gallery.

Kif and Matt- thanks for allowing me to be part of your amazing wedding. I look forward to sharing many more special moments with you!! xo
