Austin Maternity Photographer – Azurin Family, Belly to Birthday to Belly (Again)!

The Azurin family brings an embrace of pregnancy and parenthood that just shows on camera, don’t you think? These grads of the “belly to birthday” plan are back again with baby #2!

Ziem first worked with the Azurins over two years ago, when she shot their stunning maternity session in downtown Austin, and here they are again today – happy and healthy with another baby boy on the way! Ziem finds such inspiration in mom Dana’s enjoyment of the pregnancy and baby times of life.

Our photographer in chief brought her trademark customer service to this shoot, carefully picking out a location that would complement the blues-and-greys family wardrobe Dana wanted. The day couldn’t have been more gorgeous, with the red background perfectly complementing the outfits, and balloons, bubbles books and toy cars just adding to the fun. Speaking of toy cars, the big-brother-to-be provided the big laugh of the session when he decided Mom’s stomach wasn’t the place for a toy car & abruptly chucked the car away.

Ziem couldn’t be more thrilled to work with them again and to capture the special Baby Boy moments over the course of the next twelve months. The Azurins booked another “belly to birthday” package, ensuring a treasure trove of first year milestone photos for the family.

Austin Family Photography – Perfection Times Two

How to top the ultimate marriage & “Perfect 10” vow renewal? Produce two adorable children, that’s how – at least, that’s working here for the Francis-Lo family, wouldn’t you agree?

Ziem has worked for both Scott & Cindy shooting corporate events for more than half a decade, so she loved getting to see a different side of them at this winter shoot. In fine family form, their kids proved just as charming & camera-friendly. It comes as no surprise that big sister here is already a small business owner (!) and surely on track to become the President one day:

As always, the family was an absolute delight. They’re some of the hardest working, most genuinely sweet clients with which Ziem has had the pleasure of working. If anyone would be able to top perfection, it’s Scott & Cindy – and Ziem was just grateful to get it on camera!

Austin Family Photography – Oswalt Multigenerational Shoot

How often do you get to celebrate turning 90? The Oswalts opted to celebrate their “Dottie Gran”‘s big day with a special photography session.

One photographer wasn’t enough to capture Dotty Gran’s flirtatious ways and fashionable wardrobe, so our photographer-in-chief Ziem called in an assistant, known as a “second shooter” – and can you blame her?

Between the second shooter & the child-free shoot – a rarity for our favorite Austin family photographer – Ziem was able to flex her creative muscles, getting multiple perspectives on one shot.

The family and Ziem both had a blast celebrating Dottie Gran, dividing up in different groups – couples, siblings, cousins, etc. – for different pictures.

After multiple incidents where the younger generations would “direct” Dottie Gran and confiscate her tissues, the family matriarch gave Ziem her favorite shoot moment. In true Dottie Gran fashion, she ended the session with no less than some “vogueing” and a reminder that kids do grow up eventually. We’ll take your word for it, Dottie Gran!

Austin Newborn Photography – Traweek Family

A newborn photographer has to be prepared for many things. On the rare occasion when those things include a baby who happily stays awake fuss-free for most of the shoot, as Teddy here did in Ziem’s shoot for the Traweek family, a photographer can’t help but feel like she has the best job in the world – one that includes snapping some gorgeous photos:

The Traweeks were referred to Ziem by the DeMartinos – remember that fall family session from last week? – and were a delight to work with. Not only Ziem & the Traweeks send their kids to the same preschool, they share friends in common. Whether it was these shared interests or the beautiful natural light at the Traweeks’s house, Ziem felt it was the perfect environment for a newborn shoot.

Big brother did a terrific job of handling alert & expressive baby Teddy gently during the shoot.

Ziem was thrilled to work on this first shoot with the Traweeks & can’t wait to fill their incredible home with these newborn photos!

Austin Family Photography – The DeMartino Family

Remember last week when we talked about “the third time’s the charm?” in Austin family photography? It’s lucky number three again today, with the DeMartino family returning to Ziem for their third shoot.

The DeMartinos moved here from Chicago aka “the windy city“, and were referred to Ziem by a friend & fellow client. Speaking of weather, poor Mom worked so hard to coordinate the perfect fall family outfits for this shoot, only to have our infamously fickle Texas weather turn hot the day of. Everyone was perfectly pulled together nevertheless.

T is the sweetest big brother, and Miss G is all girl – and one Ziem sees often, in fact, as one of her daughters & Miss G attend the same preschool. It is wonderful to see Miss G’s sunny smile at drop-off.

As always, Ziem is honored to have worked with the DeMartinos over their first year in Austin & looks forward to many more shoots in the future!
