Humans have been known to celebrate almost anything. As a matter of fact, Hearing Aid Awareness Week (10/3-10/9),  National Chocolates Day (10/28),  National Businesswoman’s Week (10/18-10/24), and  Breast Cancer Awareness Month are among the many observances in October.

On the Sweetest Day (10/16), I got to meet with an amazing couple celebrating their anniversary. And while gifts have become somewhat of a mandatory practice, Blair and Michael decided against traditional and modern gift-giving lists and went for anniversary photos. What better way to rekindle those feelings that made you decide to get married in the first place? A couple in love is always something to celebrate and it is clearly evident in these images.

Anyone who knows me well knows that engagement sessions are my absolute favorite. I approached this anniversary session the same way I would any e-session, capturing a nice blend of candid and posed shots. As if having the great fortune to work with a beautiful couple (both inside and out) wasn’t enough to make my job easy, I was blessed with the most amazing lighting. And a shabby-chic east Austin home for locale makes it all the more unbeatable.
