I got to work with this family last year when Philip and Desiree announced her pregnancy with Baby #5. It was a privilege to be a part of a very special time in their new life in Austin. You can check out that story here: Family Photography Austin.
When the Lynches’ last child and 4th daughter (!!!) was born, she was nicknamed “Fin” for Finale. I’ll never forget the girls’ incredible reactions to the news. You can bet those trumpets were blaring for “Encore” when he arrived in April. He is now Ellis Bond, 3 months, and just as cute as a Chicago Cub.
In addition to having the coolest name, his hair is pretty rockin’! Philip and Desiree met at University of Chicago on Ellis Ave and they were married at Bond Chapel on U of C campus. Ellis Ave is also the street on which all their best friends live. If their love for Chicago isn’t obvious after that backstory, let me plainly state they love Chicago. So much, that they took their children’s handprints to make their own Chicago flag. What a cute and clever way to honor the city in which their love story began!
Given that it was July, and the heat index was like 210 degrees, we were hot and sweaty the whole entire time. The family did not complain. They did, however, cool off in style post shoot. I love all the colors and details of the children splashing!
