Seems like it was just yesterday that I received an inquiry from Kifany and Matt, just engaged at the time, as they were interviewing wedding photographers. I connected with them immediately and I was so glad they chose me to be their photographer! It was a blast being a part of their romantic garden wedding and amazing reception at the W, complete with an appearance by Superman (OK Matt) at the end of the night.
I was delighted to learn Kif was expecting and thrilled when I found out I would also be their newborn photographer. The second go-round of planning was just as seamless as the first; from deciding the location in their home in which we would shoot, to choosing the best time of day to photograph their newborn, to selecting accessories that baby and Mom would wear, Mom nailed it.
Speaking of wraps and accessories, not even the threat of a baby mohawk (gifted by a friend who shall remain anonymous) from Daddy’s costume closet could interrupt her two-hour slumber during the newborn session. And let’s talk about Matt for a second, shall we? Anyone who strongly feels that any photography session, weddings and newborn sessions alike, should be one big party is my friend for life. I’m so happy to see these three adjusting to this precious new life so well and I hope to be a part of many special memories to come. I know she’ll be creating much of that in this perfectly furnished nursery.
